The Coding specialist Codes and abstracts medical records data completely and accurately after discharge to provide a solid database for use by Hospital Administration, Medical Staff, Trauma Services, and other internal and external users. Work produced by this person facilitates assurance of the optimal payment to which the facility is legally entitled with the lowest possible days in accounts receivable.
